Thiru Vignarajah joined Capital Plus Financial, one of the nation’s largest and most innovative community development financial institutions, as CEO in August 2021.
A seasoned leader in the public and private sector, Vignarajah previously served as a federal prosecutor in Baltimore, a litigation partner at DLA Piper and deputy attorney general for Maryland.
Vignarajah attended Yale University and Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review, before clerking for Justice Stephen Breyer on the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to law school, Vignarajah served as an analyst at McKinsey & Co., where he focused on nonprofit growth and development and infrastructure in Africa and Asia.
